Van Morrison has announced a highly anticipated return to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, London, on 3 June 2024.

The show promises to be an unforgettable evening of soulful melodies and timeless classics from Morrison’s illustrious career which spans over many decades. Expect hits from his latest albums, Accentuate The Positive, and Moving On Skiffle which both entered the UK Top 40 charts last year. With Morrison’s unique stage presence and magnetic charisma, the show is sure to deliver a performance that will leave audiences spellbound.
Last year, Van Morrison released a deluxe 3LP edition of his landmark 1970 album Moondance, featuring the 2022 Steven Wilson remix of the original album. Moondance was also reissued in a Blu-Ray edition featuring Steven Wilson’s 2022 Atmos Mix, the 2013 96/24 5.1 Mix, the 2013 192/24 Remastered Stereo, the 2022 96/24 Steven Wilson Remix, and the 2022 96/24 Steven Wilson Instrumental Mix.
Morrison was recently interviewed by Billy Bragg for Mojo, in which he talked about getting started in music, “My friends didn’t really want to carry on, but for me, when I was getting ready to leave school it was like, ‘Well, what do you want to do?’ I had a few short-term jobs, but I ended up on the dole. In those days, you had to go to a thing called bureau school before you could sign on, so I’m in the class down by the docks and there’s all these hard men from the docks in there. The teacher goes round the class and asks each of us, ‘What do you want to do?’ So I said, ‘I wanna sing,’ so he says, ‘Go ahead and sing, then.’ So I start beating out a rhythm on the desk and I sing the Jerry Lee Lewis version of Don’t Be Cruel. Everybody claps and the teacher says very good so I think I’m away! This is what I’m gonna do. When I heard all those hard-looking men going, ‘Yeah! Yeah!’, it was all the validation I needed.”
