Performing on the Opus Stage on Friday, they will be joined by Lucas Woodland of Holding Absence as guest vocalist, following the departure of vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye last year.

The band confirmed the announcement on social media. They said ““So it seems like folks quite enjoyed seeing us last weekend with @Lucaswoodland on the microphone. So much so, that we’ve been asked to do it again, this time at @DownloadFest, headlining the Opus Stage on Friday night, June 14!”

Download 2024 takes place at Donington Park on June 14-16. Visit the event’s official website for tickets and further information.

Fall Out Boy, Avenged Sevenfold and Queens Of The Stone Age headline the weekend with Enter Shikari, Sum 41, The Offspring, Pantera, Royal Blood, Limp Bizkit, Busted, Babymetal, Biohazard and many, many more also appearing across four stages.

Bad Omens pulled the plug on their European and UK tour dates, including Download, with frontman Noah Sebastian sharing that the reason being was that he was “experiencing what can only be described as extreme mental burnout”.

In an official statement, the band said “While all the touring and work that we’ve put into this album cycle the last several years has been so rewarding and gratifying, it has also pushed me to the limits of my mental bandwidth,” he said. “Putting my mind and body in conflict with one another in ways that are becoming detrimental to my health on the road.

“That said, after heavy consideration we have decided that we need to cancel all of our performances coming up this summer in Europe and the UK. This decision is in the best interest of my health and wellbeing, and of the long term sustainability of Bad Omens.

“We need to protect and restore all of the energy that will be demanded of us again soon as we transition into the next chapter. We know this will be disappointing, but we ask that you respect our choice to put health first.”
