Linkin Park have shared the video for In The End (Demo), the final early release ahead of the 20th anniversary edition of Hybrid Theory, which comes out on 9th October.

Hybrid Theory, first issued in October 2000, was Linkin Park’s debut album and found itself a huge following with a whole generation of fans with its blend of alt-rock, hip-hop and electronic music. It went on to be the best-selling album of 2001 in the US, and sold over 25 million albums worldwide, with standout singles One Stop Closer, Crawling and In The End proving massive hits, Crawling earning the band their first GRAMMY award for ‘Best Rock Performance’, while In The End peaked at No 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, their highest chart position.

The anniversary edition of Hybrid Theory comes complete with never-before-heard demos from the time, as well as rarities, B-sides, DVDs and unseen footage. Linkin Park engaged longtime fans around the world to share art, photos and memories of the band’s early days. The special new set will be available in multiple formats including a super deluxe box, vinyl box set, deluxe CD and digital and marks the first time Hybrid Theory has been given the box set treatment.

The limited edition super deluxe box consists of five CDs: the original Hybrid Theory album, the double-platinum accompanying remix record Reanimation, a collection of B-Side rarities featuring 12 previously-released tracks from the album era, and LPU Rarities which contains 18 tracks that were only circulated through the Linkin Park Underground (LPU) fan club, and Forgotten Demos with 12 unreleased tracks, including the sought-after 1999 demo of She Couldn’t.

Linkin Park’s In The End (Demo) was unearthed for the LPU Rarities disc on the super deluxe box. This version shows the development of one of the band’s biggest hits and the song that remains their most-played live number. It can be heard below.
