Johnny Marr Inducted Into The Glasgow Barrowlands Hall Of Fame
Johnny Marr has been inducted into the hall of fame of Glasgow’s iconic music venue, The Barrowland Ballroom.

Over the years the Barrowland Hall Of Fame inductees have included David Bowie, Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, Simple Minds and many more.
Johnny Marr said: “Thank you to the legendary Glasgow Barrowlands for inducting me into their Hall Of Fame. I remember arriving in the dressing room in 1985 and since then I’ve had the honour of playing there so many times in many different bands.”
The award was presented to the former Smiths guitarist just before he made his ninth appearance at The Barrowland Ballroom. The performance is part of his current UK solo headline tour, The Spirit Power Tour. The Mancunian first performed at the venue in 1985 with The Smiths, before returning there with the group in 1986.
He then performed at Barrowlands with Simple Minds in 1987, with The The in 1989, with Electronic in 1991, as special guest to Oasis in 2001, as a member of The Cribs in 2008, with his solo band in 2018, and finally for latest headline performance on 3 April.
