Green Day have just announced a last-minute intimate show in Las Vegas for tonight, 19 October.

The band will play the 1,000-capacity Fremont Country Club, ahead of this weekend’s massive When We Were Young fest at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Support tomorrow evening comes from Ultra Q (whose members include frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s son, Jakob).

The band posted on social media, saying “SURPRISE VEGAS! warming up for When We Were Young with a not so top secret show tomorrow night with @UltraQmusic at Fremont Country Club!!”

With tickets going on sale tomorrow at 10am PT, Green Day have shared that the show will be for ages 21+, and fans can get two tickets max per person. The band also encourage: “Don’t forget to wear your best zombie look, make-up and attire.” Which may refer to the 21st Century Breakdown-esque teaser video they posted earlier in the week, which also featured zombies.

The ‘When We Were Young’ festival takes place in Vegas on October 21 and 22. Blink-182 will also headline.

Also in Green Day news, the band released the 30th anniversary edition of their classic third album Dookie on 29 September 2023.

Dookie 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition will be available everywhere digitally as well as a limited-edition 6LP vinyl box set and 4CD box set. Plus, a special version of the 6-LP vinyl box set will only be available on the Green Day web store and at indie record stores with each record pressed on a different shade of brown vinyl.

The collection includes previously unreleased Dookie demos and outtakes, along with two unmissable live recordings, Live At Woodstock (1994) – for the first time on DSPs – and the previously unreleased Live In Barcelona (5 June ’94).

Loaded to the brim with collector’s items, the vinyl box set boasts a roll of Dookie dog poop bags, five-button set, air freshener, postcard, bumper sticker, kiss-cut large magnet sheet, paper airplane, a black-and-white “Coloring Page” cover litho insert, and a poster of the alternate cover art. The CD box set consists of two stickers, the five-button set, air freshener, and single soft vinyl magnet.
