FKA Twigs is set to be honoured with the Music Publishers Guild Award For Outstanding Contribution To UK Music.

The 2024 MPG awards will take place on 25 April at The Troxy, London. Tickets are on sale now, with discounted tickets available to MPG members.

Twigs is currently working on her new album and preparing for the release of The Crow remake in which she stars alongside Bill Skarsgård. She commented, “I’m really honoured to be receiving the award for outstanding contribution to UK music. It means so much to me because the MPG awards are truly industry facing and acknowledge the talented people who are still chained to the desk past midnight.

“The fact that for over a decade I have been able to write and produce my own music and still take part in all the glitz and glamour is truly a testament not only to my dedication to my art but also to all of the amazing collaborators I have worked with and learnt from over the past decade. This award is for all of us.”

Peter Leathem of awards sponsors PPL said, “FKA twigs is, and has always been, the definition of a trailblazer in the music industry. This award recognises a phenomenal singer, songwriter and performer who throughout her career has shown endless creativity through song and dance, to create some of the most visually and sonically captivating music from the UK in the last decade. Her commitment and focus to doing things differently and challenging the status quo, make her a worthy recipient of the MPG Award For Outstanding Contribution to UK Music. Congratulations to FKA twigs from all at PPL on this much deserved accolade.”

The Music Producers Guild was started and is supported by producers, mixers, recording engineers, re-mixers and programmers who are passionate about all aspects of making and recording music. It is a not-for-profit company and is run by volunteers from the membership.
