The first trailer for the upcoming reboot of The Crow, starring FKA Twigs and Bill Skarsgård, has been released. Watch the trailer below.

The upcoming remake is directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White And The Huntsman, Ghost In The Shell). The original movie was based on the 1989 comic book series of the same name by James O’Barr. The Crow is due for release in cinemas on 7 June 2024.

“I am so thrilled to be in The Crow alongside the talented Bill Skarsgård and extraordinary director Rupert Sanders,” FKA Twigs said in a press statement. “The love Bill and I share on screen is effortless and indicative of the authenticity and ease that I dreamed of bringing to the role of Shelly. Eric and Shelly’s unbreakable unity is so profound and beautiful, something I hope we all feel at least once as part of the human experience. I am so excited that the trailer is being unveiled and even more excited to have the world see the film this summer.”

The trailer comes in the week that Twigs spoke to British Vogue about coping with the aftermath of her abuse allegations against former partner Shia LaBeouf.

“I’ve had to be very compassionate with myself and really listen to myself to get better,” she said “Now I want to challenge myself to know more about the simple, most pure and important things: love, nature, food, a nontoxic lifestyle, my body.”

“I think naively I thought it would be like any other breakup, that I’d be sad for six months to a year, and then one day I’d wake up and everything would be fine,” she said. “But the fact is being abused changes the whole of your nervous system. Because my window of tolerance is now much smaller than it used to be, my body manifests stress in quite extreme ways — it really shows me when it’s upset.”
