Wilco Announce Tour Dates, Share New Film
Wilco have announced new tour dates for 2023 in support of their latest album, Cruel Country.
The spring dates will take the band across North America to perform in cities they missed on their previous tour. Additionally, Wilco will perform three-night residencies in Reykjavík, Chicago, and Port Chester, New York. Joining the band at select dates are Horsegirl and the A’s. Cruel Country was released digitally and on CD last year, and the vinyl edition of the album comes out this Friday 20 January. Copies are available here.
The band have also released a short video of their gig at Carol’s Pub in Chicago from last October. The band’s YouTube channel explains, “On October 9, 2022 Wilco announced a surprise pop up show at Chicago’s Famous Late-Night Honky Tonk, Carol’s Pub. After the first show quickly sold out, the band added a second. When the line continued, they added a third.
“It was a special night in celebration of the band’s 12th studio album, Cruel Country. Of course we filmed it! Enjoy this edit of the band performing A Story To Tell, I Am My Mother, Cruel Country and Falling Apart (Right Now).
