1800 Tequila has collaborated with Mike Skinner of The Streets to create a limited-edition bottle that visually represents his new track Turn Your Face into The Sun. The bottle is limited to just 500 units and is available to buy now at the Master of Malt website.

Mike’s collaboration with 1800 Tequila drops just after the release of The Streets’ hotly anticipated album and accompanying film, with The Darker the Shadow the Brighter the Light being The Streets’ first full length record in over a decade.

The limited-edition bottle is the latest launch of 1800 Tequila’s Essential Artists series. As a leader in UK garage music and street culture, as well as a huge supporter of fellow creatives, Mike Skinner’s vision and ambitions are shared by the brand and captured in the essence of the bottle design.

Limited to just 500 bottles, the unique design takes inspiration from the lyrics of the new single. The song explores the innate instinct to turn your face to the sun so that the shadows are behind you, to push ever forward into new creative territories and modes of artistic expression.

The design’s foreground is dominated by a silhouette beside a bus stop, a knowing nod to Mike Skinner’s canonical The Streets album A Grand Don’t Come for Free. The background draws on 1800 Tequila’s association with street art, with hazy oranges injecting colour into the urban environment, and a pop of neon above the silhouette’s head tying 1800 Tequila and Mike Skinner together in the composition.

Commenting on the collaboration, Mike Skinner said: “1800 Tequila stands behind artists that celebrates its vision in a similar way to which I approached my new album and film. I can’t wait for others to be able to get their hands on my limited-edition bottle with 1800, which is a celebration of creativity and independent thinking.”

1800 Tequila’s Essential Artists series champions creatives, culture, independent thinkers and artists. Mike Skinner is the latest artist to join forces with the brand with past collaborations including hip hop icon Kojey Radical and artist Daniel Cordas.
