Kojey Radical has topped off a successful 2022 by sending a message thanking fans for their support and revealing that he is working on his second album, the follow-up to his Mercury-nominated debut, Reason To Smile.

The British rapper posted his message of gratitude on his official Facebook page, writing, “To say this has been one of the craziest, busiest, most fulfilling years of my life would be an understatement but honestly speaking I’m grateful for every single second and every single person that helped make it so special. Every win, every loss and every blessing gave me another reason to smile and hopefully that smile never fades.
On January 4th (aka national Kojey day) I turn 30. Imma gonna take a small break, reset and when i get back. Album 2 is in the works.
Happy new year ❤️”

It was recently announced that Kojey Radical would be among the artists (also including Beabadoobee, Rina Sawayama and Metronomy) to play gigs at the BRITs Week 2023 gig series. Radical will play London’s XOYO on 3 February 2023.A prize draw to win tickets is open here.

Back in December, Kojey Radical and Jelani Blackman released the fierce collaborative track Izit – check it out below.

Speaking about the track, Blackman said: “Anyone who follows my music knows I like to touch on social commentary and I think this music and message is the strongest statement I’ve made.”

They continued: “Kojey’s a very talented artist, we’ve known each other for a while and been waiting to collaborate at some point. I’m happy this is the track we linked up on because I think it reflects the energy we both have. There’s so much tension and hate in the world at the moment and not always clarity. I hope the lyrics and force in this track fuels people’s energy, to push actions and voices further, so positive change can’t be ignored.”
