Satellite radio giant SiriusXM is launching a dedicated David Bowie channel on the late singer’s 75th birthday.

On 8 January, Bowie fans can tune in to hear music from his entire catalogue. The launch of a dedicated David Bowie channel follows Warner Chappell’s acquisition of Bowie’s “entire body of work.” At the time of that deal, Warner Chappell co-chair and COO Carianne Marshall said her company intended to take Bowie’s music “into dynamic new places,” reaching “multiple avenues and platforms.”

The David Bowie Channel on SiriusXM will feature live tracks, concert performances, rare tracks, and remixes of Bowie’s greatest songs.

Celebrity guest DJs for the channel include Beck, Billy Corgan, Linda Perry, Carlos Alomar, Rosanna Arquette, David Arquette, Patrick Stump, and more will highlight their favourite David Bowie songs and share their memories of the legendary singer with fans.

The deal doesn’t appear to be permanent, though, as it’s a SiriusXM pop-up channel limited to two weeks. Listeners have from 4 January to 18 January to enjoy Sirius XM 104.

Aside from the dedicated David Bowie channel, SiriusXM also highlighted live performances from other top artists.

The Small Stage Series of 2021 featured 16 live performances in a limited-run channel until January 4 on 104 – the channel now occupied by Bowie. Those live performances included artists Alicia Keys, Brandi Carlile, Coldplay, Dave Matthews, Ed Sheeran, Glass Animals, H.E.R., J Balvin, J. Cole, Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Kenny Chesney, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Shaggy, The Go-Go’s, and Twenty One Pilots.

SiriusXM is also honoring Elvis’ 87th birthday on January 8 with Elvis Radio on Channel 75. Fans can tune in from January 7 through January 9 to hear exclusive specials featuring music from Elvis and more. A special birthday edition of Elvis Live in Concert and the Elvis Top 87 Countdown will round out performances on the channel.
