RAYE has made her Saturday Night Live debut, performing Escapism and Worth It, both taken from her Brit Award-winning debut album, My 21st Century Blues. Watch the performances below.

The performances came in the week that it was revealed that the singer co-wrote Riverdance, from the new Beyoncé album, Cowboy Carter. Taking to her Instagram on the day of the album’s release, RAYE wrote, “happy COWBOY CARTER day. What an honour it is to being able to contribute my small piece to this beautiful album, and to THE @beyonce who continues to inspire all of us. Track 23 : RIVERDANCE , co – written by me found my beat up cowboy hat i bought on my 21st birthday for this special occasion.”

Earlier this year, RAYE made history by taking home six Brit Awards, the most ever awarded to one artist in a single year. The wins included best new artist, best R&B act, songwriter of the year, song of the year, artist of the year, and album of the year.

On a recent episode of The Jonathan Ross show she revealed the support she’d received following her BRITS wins from a famous fan: “Do you know what, I got flowers from Sir Elton John, a big deal. ‘He wrote me a card and everything. It said I can’t wait to tell you in person what your music means to me.'”

The star went on to say she was “overwhelmed” after her wins and celebrated by partying until 6am after the ceremony “To be honest I was so overwhelmed that I was ready to jump straight into bed, so it was either go straight to bed or go hard, do you know what I mean? So we went with that option.”

RAYE sobbed at the ceremony as she won the album of the year award, saying, “You just don’t understand what this means to me. … I’m ugly-crying on national television. All I ever wanted to be was an artist. And now I’m an artist with an album of the year.”
