RAYE has seen sales soar during the week following her triumph at the BRITS, with three songs entering the UK Top 40 and her album returning to the Top 5.

Last Saturday RAYE became the first artist in BRITs history to win six awards in a single night: Song of the Year, R&B Act, Best New Artist, Songwriter of the Year, Artist of the Year and Mastercard Album of the Year for debut album, My 21st Century Blues.

Her former No 1 Escapism. ft. 070 Shake re-entered the chart at No 13, cassö and D-Block Europe collab Prada jumps nine to No 18, and Worth It scores its first week inside the Top 40, debuting at Number 38.

Meanwhile, on the Official Albums Chart, My 21st Century Blues makes a phenomenal return to the Top 5 this week; vaulting 98 places (5). The album originally peaked at Number 2 upon its release in 2023.

The singer was also a guest on the latest episode of The Jonathan Ross show, where she revealed the support she’d received following her BRITS wins from a famous fan: “Do you know what, I got flowers from Sir Elton John, a big deal. ‘He wrote me a card and everything. It said I can’t wait to tell you in person what your music means to me.'”

The star went on to say she was “overwhelmed” after her wins and celebrated by partying until 6am after the ceremony “To be honest I was so overwhelmed that I was ready to jump straight into bed, so it was either go straight to bed or go hard, do you know what I mean? So we went with that option.”

RAYE sobbed at the ceremony as she won the album of the year award, saying, “You just don’t understand what this means to me. … I’m ugly-crying on national television. All I ever wanted to be was an artist. And now I’m an artist with an album of the year.”
