Porno for Pyros have announced their first new song in 26 years and confirmed more material is on the way. The original line-up of Perry Farrell, Stephen Perkins, Peter DiStefano, and Martyn LeNoble will release Agua on November 16 via Rhino. “Our new single, an ode to the sea and all its beautiful creatures,” wrote the band in a post, teasing the track on social media.

According to a press release, Agua is inspired by dolphin encounters that Porno For Pyros members had while surfing in the 1990s

“Now we’re here, and that same heart, that same desire to make music together, has returned,” Farrell said in a statement. “Getting together with these guys has been some of the most fun, the happiest times in my life.”

Agua is set to appear on a self-released EP that comes out in full in February. Also next year, the band plan to get back on the road for the reunion tour that they recently postponed.

Porno For Pyros’ 21-date Horns, Thorns En Halos Tour, was scheduled to start on Sunday (8 October) in Wheatland, California, with dates in cities throughout the United States before wrapping up at Stubb’s in Austin, Texas on Monday 20 November).

“We are beyond thankful for all of your support these last 30 years, and are anxious to celebrate our 30th anniversary with you,” wrote the band on Instagram. “Whilst rehearsing for our first tour in 25 years, we’ve also been in the studio creating new music that we were hoping to get to you in time for these shows. Unfortunately, we have had to move the dates for the upcoming tour as we were not able to begin our campaign in time.”

The statement continued, “So, we’ve pushed the tour a few months from now, in order for everyone to hear and appreciate the new material that is finally finished.”
