Porno for Pyros Announce First Tour in 25 Years
Porno for Pyros, the band Perry Farrell formed when Jane’s Addiction dissolved, will tour for the first time in 25 years later this year.
The Horns, Thorns en Halos US tour, which follows a handful of standalone shows since the reformed last year, kicks off in California in October and ends in Texas six weeks later. Check out the dates below.
The touring line-up of the band — Farrell, Stephen Perkins, Peter DiStefano, and Martyn LeNoble — are also working on new music, expected to be released this year, according to a press release.
In an interview with Southern California rock radio station KLOS-FM last month Farrell also revealed that he has been recording new music with all three of his projects: Jane’s Addiction, Porno For Pyros and Kind Heaven Orchestra. “So this year there’s gonna be a lot of music that not only we’re gonna be performing, but there’s gonna be a lot of music being put out this year,” he said. “I don’t know if we can call any of them albums; I don’t know if I necessarily am up for an album just yet, but, hey, three or four songs from both groups would be plenty, right? [Even] two great songs, and I know we’ve got two great songs from both groups already. So I’m just psyched about that — getting a chance to perform it and getting a chance for you all to hear it.”
