Paramore Return To The Studio
Paramore singer Hayley Williams has revealed the band have been back in the studio. Williams also gave an update on her health in the post on the band’s Discord.
Williams revealed that they have been keen to work on new material, “We’ve been off the road for a couple weeks now… mainly in LA. Thankfully got some down time but we put some work in too,” she told fans. “It felt good to get back into a studio. More of that once we get home to Nashville.”
Williams went on: “Zac, Taylor and I just want to get back to making things. We’ve been craving that for a while now. Not only the creative process but the layer(s) of insulation that can come with the creative process.”
“For me, when we get into this mode it always feels nice to disappear in a way. Maybe this time I will be able to find balance between the disappearing and yet not completely shutting out the world. But probably not.” The band posted photographs of themselves in the studio on Instagram.
Touching on her recent illness, Williams added: “I can hardly believe I don’t cough all day and night anymore. My stomach is still fucked from 10 kinds of medication… I’m just happy to be resting more. Now that the bulk of our touring for the year is over, I’m hoping to dive head first into creating some better routines.”
The update comes after Paramore cancelled the final two dates of their North American tour – slated to take place in Portland on 10 August and in Salt Lake City on 13 August – thanks to Williams’ lung infection.
Last month, Paramore were announced as the support act for all of Taylor Swift‘s UK and European 2024 The Eras tour dates.
Swift also announced that 14 shows have been added to the tour, all representing second, third, fourth or even sixth nights in cities that were already on the itinerary for May through August of 2024.
“Really can’t contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour,” Swift wrote on social media. “And I get to travel the world doing shows with Paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???”
