Nile Rodgers Reveals Coldplay Collaboration
Nile Rodgers has revealed that he’s been in the studio with Coldplay working on new music.
Speaking to The Sun’s Bizarre column, Rodgers enthused, “What was great working with Coldplay is that we’re all in the room together and it’s sort of like a spiritual thing,” he said, adding that he “had a blast” with the band.
“It’s like they walk in and they say, ‘Do you want to join the circle or not?’” he said. “I’m an old hippie, you’re speaking my language. Let’s go.”

Earlier this month Coldplay, who released their last album, Music Of The Spheres, in 2021, revealed to fans that they were back in the studio in an update posted to Twitter. Singer Chris Martin wrote, “Hello everybody. I hope you’re all doing really well. Here are some things I love at the moment.” Martin went on to list musicians including Stormzy, Erykah Badu, The 1975 and Inhaler, before adding, “We’re in the studio.”
