Megan Thee Stallion performed Anxiety and a medley of NDA/Plan B from her latest album Traumazine, while hosting last night’s (15 October) episode of Saturday Night Live. It was the rapper’s third appearance on the long-running show.

Her performance of Anxiety featured background dancers and a set resembling a beauty pageant; for her medley of NDA and Plan B, Megan was backed by a full rock band.

Traumazine is Megan Thee Stallion’s second studio album, following 2020’s Good News. The album included singles Plan B, Sweetest Pie (with Dua Lipa), Pressurelicious (with Future). She’s also released videos for the Traumazine songs Ungrateful and Her.

Saturday Night Live is currently in its 48th season. Other musical guests this season have included Kendrick Lamar and Willow. On 29 October, Jack Harlow will continue his hugely successful year by stopping by SNL to host and perform as musical guest.

The performance came at the end of a turbulent week for Megan. The rapper had her Los Angeles home broken into earlier this week. According to reports, a pair of burglars targeted Megan’s house on Thursday 13 October, breaking in by smashing through a glass door. The thieves reportedly stole somewhere up to $400,000 (£358,000) worth of goods including cash, jewellery and electronics.

It’s said that Megan was not home at the time of the robbery, though footage of it was captured by her home surveillance system. The Los Angeles Police Department was not able to confirm the burglary or provide any information, including if there are any suspects in custody.

Megan responded to the incident on Twitter, assuring fans that “everyone is safe” and that ultimately, “material things can be replace”. In a follow-up tweet, she stated that her SNL appearance would mark her last project for a while. “I really gotta take a break,” she said. “I’m so tired, physically and emotionally.”
