Liam Gallagher Announces ‘Knebworth 22’ Live Album
Liam Gallagher has announced details of his new live album, Knebworth 22. The album, which features versions of solo and Oasis tracks will be released on a variety of formats on 11 August. Watch the triumphant live version of Oasis’ Roll It Over (originally the closing track of their 2000 album, Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants) below.
Gallagher said of the release: “So we recorded the Knebworth gigs we did last year. We all sound Biblical, turn it up ENJOY, LGx.”
Knebworth 22 will be available standard and deluxe CDs, black double-vinyl and sun yellow double-vinyl. A striking olive and black marble double-vinyl edition is also available exclusively from Liam’s official store.
Knebworth 22 documents Gallagher’s two-night residency at the Hertfordshire site in June 2022, the same place that his former band had famously played 26 years earlier. Across the two nights, 170,000 people saw Gallagher play the venue.
Since Oasis split, Liam has released three solo albums, most recently 2022’s C’mon You Know, which included the singles Everything’s Electric and Better Days. The album sat at No 1 on the UK Albums Chart during the weekend that the Knebworth shows took place.
During 2023 Liam will play select international festivals this summer, including a UK festival exclusive headline set at Boardmasters before culminating with Summersonic shows in Tokyo and Osaka. See below for a list of upcoming dates.
