Joni Mitchell has shared a previously unreleased version of her much-loved track You Turn Me On, I’m A Radio, featuring Neil Young & The Stray Gators, from her forthcoming collection Archives, Vol 3: The Asylum Years (1972-1975)

The track was recorded during the early sessions for Mitchell’s 1972 album For The Roses at Wally Heider Studios, Hollywood, CA in April 1972. It features Neil Young on electric guitar and harmonica, Tim Drummond on bass and Kenny Buttrey on drums.
Archives, Vol 3: The Asylum Years (1972-1975) – available as a 5CD or 4LP set – features early demos and alternate versions of tracks from the sessions for 1972’s For the Roses, 1974’s Court And Spark, and 1975’s The Hissing of Summer Lawns; several live recordings, including a 1972 performance at Carnegie Hall; and Joni Mitchell appearances on tracks from sessions with James Taylor, Graham Nash, as well as Neil Young.
