Janelle Monáe Announces July 2024 UK Shows

Janelle Monáe has announced shows in London and Manchester for this summer, see below for dates and ticket info.

Monáe will perform on 29 June at Brixton Academy, London, which recently announced its re-opening having been closed since December 2022. Tickets go on sale this Thursday (21 March) at 10am GMT and a pre-sale will take place from 10am GMT tomorrow (19 March) until 9am on Thursday. Tickets will be available here.

The singer will also play a trio of shows at Aviva Studios from 2-4 July in Manchester with tickets going on sale for Factory International members at 10am GMT on Wednesday (20 March) before tickets go on general sale the following day. Tickets for the pre and general sale can be purchased here.

The new dates will follow Monáe’s performance at Glastonbury Festival, which recently confirmed its first acts for this summer. Headliners will be Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA, with other acts confirmed including Shania Twain, Burna Boy, Little Simz, Avril Lavigne, Michael Kiwanuka, Jessie Ware, PJ Harvey and Camila Cabello.

A press release from Factory International reads, “In 2023, Monáe released the highly anticipated The Age of Pleasure following a string of celebrated albums – Dirty Computer (2018), The Electric Lady (2013) and The Archandroid (2010).

“Beyond music, she is a New York Times best-selling author and co-chair of Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote as well as a recipient of the Critics Choice 2023 SeeHer Award.

“With numerous critically-acclaimed theatrical, film and television performances – including roles in Moonlight (2016), Hidden Figures (2016) and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022) – and her unwavering activism for social justice and the LGBTQIA+ community, Monáe continues to be one of the most compelling and important artists of this generation.”
