The sixth and final release in the David Bowie Brilliant Live Adventures series of single pressing live albums from the 90s has been announced. David Bowie’s The Kit Kat Club (Live New York 99) is the final installment in the limited run.

The Kit Kat Klub (Live New York 99) is a 12-track live album, recorded on 19th November 1999 in front of an invite-only audience of fans and contest winners a gig promoting Hours, his 21st studio album that had been released the previous month.

The show was recorded and filmed for a webcast the following month via Liveonline.net. The audio from the show was only previously available as a very rare 12-track promotional CD.

The photos used on the inner gatefold of the CD and LP are by Alison Hale, a fan who traveled the world to see multiple Bowie shows before she sadly passed away in 2012.

The Kit Kat Klub (Live New York 99) was recorded live at the Kit Kat Klub and was produced by David Bowie, mixed by Mark Plati, and features Bowie backed by Page Hamilton (guitar), Gail Ann Dorsey (bass, vocals), Mark Plati (guitar), Sterling Campbell (drums), Mike Garson (piano, keyboards, synthesisers) and Emm Gryner and Holly Palmer (backing vocals).

At the Kit Kat Klub show, Bowie played songs from his latest album, Hours including Thursday’s Child and The Pretty Things Are Going To Hell, Survive and Heaven. He also played Bowie classics including Always Crashing In The Same Car, Life On Mars? China Girl and Changes.

This record completes the line up of single album reissues for Brilliant Live Adventures and is the final addition to the limited edition boxes. Previous albums issued include Something In The Air (Live Paris 99); Look At The Moon! (Live Phoenix Festival 97); LIVEANDWELL.COM; No Trendy Réchauffé (Live Birmingham 95) and Ouvrez Le Chien (Live Dallas 95). These are all released on vinyl and CD as limited, one run only pressings. There will also be special limited edition boxes for both the vinyl and CD, so fans can house the full collection. The albums and boxes will only be available via the David Bowie official store and our Dig! store.
