BTS Star Jin Shares Coldplay Co-Write, ‘The Astronaut’
BTS member Jin has released his new solo single, The Astronaut, a collaboration with Coldplay.
The Astronaut was co-written by Jin and Coldplay and follows the 2021 Coldplay single My Universe, which featured BTS.
Jin will become the first BTS member to enlist for mandatory military service, according to an announcement from Big Hit Music on October 17. It also mentioned that the boyband have plans to reconvene at full strength by 2025.
Jin is set to perform the new song alongside Coldplay at the band’s forthcoming concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Coldplay have recently announced they will be broadcasting the gig.
The show, part of Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour, will be shown in thousands of cinemas in over 70 countries.

Screenings will take place on 28 October 28 fans in North America and Latin America, and shown elsewhere on 29 October, the band will also be offering repeat screenings.
The show will be directed by Paul Dugdale and shared in partnership with Trafalgar Releasing.
