Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival Announces 2022 Line-Up

Wilco have announced the line-up for their Solid Sound festival, which will take place from 27-29 May 2022 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA. As is customary, Wilco will be performing multiple times, and the individual band members have their own sets over the weekend.

Also playing are Sylvan Esso, Japanese Breakfast, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Terry Allen And The Panhandle Mystery Band, Sun Ra Arkestra (directed by Marshall Allen), mike watt + the missingmen, Hand Habits, Wiki, Angel Bat Dawid, Iceage, Sam Evian, NNAMDÏ, and more. There will also be a comedy component led by John Hodgman’s Comedy Cabaret, with Jean Grae, Negin Farsad, River Butcher, and Nick Offerman.

A statement on the festival website reads: “Here we come again and we’re bringing our friends. Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival returns to MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA on May 27-29, 2022. Mark your calendars, tell your friends and save the date. More details including ticketing, lodging and line up to follow. Before we know it Solid Sound will be back for three days of music, comedy, art, outdoor adventuring, local food, craft beer, family fun and much more.”

The first Solid Sound took place in 2010 and since then has hosted some of the most celebrated names in modern music, including Mavis Staples, Levon Helm, Syl Johnson, Thurston moore, White Denim, Neko Case, Reggie Watts, Low, Os Mutantes, Yo La Tengo, Ryley Walker, Real Estate, Richard Thompson, Mac DeMarco, The Shaggs, Kurt Vile, Robert Glasper, Big Thief, Television, Courtney Barnett, Jonathan Richman, Lonnie Holley and Tortoise, among many more. The festival has also hosted some much-loved comedy acts, including John Muleaney, Kirsten Schall, Hannibal Buress and Nick Offerman.
