Tom Meighan has been announced as the support for Noel Gallagher on his 2023 UK Arena Tour this December.

Former Kasabian frontman Meighan released his first solo album The Reckoning in May. It hit the Official midweek chart at #2, behind Ed Sheeran. It charted at #2 in the Indie chart, #3 in the Vinyl chart, #3 in the Download chart, #3 in the Physical Artist chart and #6 in the CD chart and #17 in the Official chart. Earlier this year, Tom Meighan played a 16-date UK tour, has performed at a series of festivals throughout the summer, including another support slot with Noel Gallagher at Audley End on 5 August.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds released their widely-acclaimed current album Council Skies on 2 June via Sour Mash Records.

Speaking of the inspiration behind the record, Noel reflected, “All the dreams I had as a youth were underneath council skies.” Council Skies opens an introspective and personal commentary on Noel’s most formative years, and the wider themes of the forthcoming album. Wistful and evocative, the track has layered instrumentation, including strings recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.

Council Skies is available on CD, heavyweight vinyl with bonus 7”, LP picture disc plus various digital formats including a Dolby Atmos spatial audio version. The previously released Robert Smith remix of Pretty Boy is featured on deluxe limited-edition triple vinyl and 2CD formats which also include a stunning live session version of Live Forever and a remix from Pet Shop Boys.
