The Strokes appeared as musical guests yesterday (31st October) on Saturday Night Live, performing songs from their record, The New Abnormal.

Marking their first time on SNL in nine years, the band played The Adults Are Talking and Bad Decisions from The New Abnormal, which The Strokes released in April this year, to positive reviews.

The Halloween edition of the show was hosted by comedian John Mulaney, while lastt week’s episode saw singer Adele take the reins, and while fans thought she may perform songs from a new album, she explained that the music wasn’t finished, with music instead coming from guest H.E.R.

The Strokes last appearance on SNL came on 5th March 2011, where they debuted Life Is Simple In The Moonlight, as well as Under Cover Of Darkness, from Angles, which was released later that month.

Their performance yesterday was their fourth time on the show. The Strokes appeared in the promo video ahead of the liver show alongside John Mulaney, wearing masks, while Julian Casablancas made a point of reminding those watching to turn back their clocks for Daylight Savings Time in the US. The promo video can be watched below.
