Pink Floyd Release 18 Live Albums From 1972
Pink Floyd have released 18 live albums from 1972 along with a five-track EP of alternative tracks from the same year.

The new releases cover concert recordings from throughout the year, when Pink Floyd were touring in support of their sixth and seventh albums – Meddle (1971) and Obscured By Clouds and road-testing songs from the following year’s The Dark Side Of The Moon.
Meanwhile, the compilation EP – titled simply ‘Alternative Tracks 1972’ – comprises trance remixes of ‘Any Colour You Like’ and a mash-up of ‘Speak To Me’ and ‘Breathe (In The Air)’, a demo version of ‘On The Run’, and “ultra rare alternative versions” of ‘Us And Them’ and a reprisal mash-up of ‘Time’ and ‘Breathe (In The Air)’.
2022 has been a busy year for Pink Floyd, starting with the release of their Ukraine benefit single, Hey Hey Rise Up, back in April (with a subsequent CD and vinyl release). September then saw the long-awaited release of the band’s Animals remaster, four years after it was first announced.
