Pantera and Disturbed have been confirmed as the headline acts for Knotfest Australia 2024, promising to please metal and rock fans of any generation.

The return of next year’s event has also locked in Lamb Of God, Halestorm, The Hu, Asking Alexandria, Escape The Fate, Wage War, Brand Of Sacrifice and more.

On the local front, Knotfest has secured some of the buzziest acts from Australia, including deathcore mainstays and chart success story Thy Art Is Murder, Sydney hardcore outfit Speed, metalcore up-and-comers Windwaker, and grindcore heavyweights King Parrot.

Knotfest Australia 2024 marks a series of monumental returns to the country, including groove metal pioneers Pantera’s first stops down under since 2001 (touring Reinventing The Steel) and the first Australian shows in eight years for Disturbed and influential new wave of American heavy metal group Lamb Of God – the latter of whom all but confirmed their appearance at Knotfest via social media.

In addition to the loud, brilliant, heavy music, Knotfest 2024 will feature the Knotfest Museum again, albeit a revamped experience celebrating Slipknot’s storied 26-year career.

Early Bird tickets to Knotfest Australia 2024 will be available at 10 am local time on Tuesday, 21 November – you can sign up here to access those tickets. The general sale begins on Thursday, 23 November, via the event’s official website.

Knotfest will return to Australia in March 2024, taking over the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on Thursday, 21 March, followed by Sydney’s Centennial Park on Saturday, 23 March, and Brisbane’s Showgrounds on Sunday, 24 March.

All three dates of the inaugural Knotfest Australia sold out in advance, so you’ll want to get in quick for next year’s event.

In December 2022, Pantera played their first show in over 20 years and have since performed across the globe. The band’s line-up currently consists of Phil Anselmo (vocals), bassist Rex Brown and new members Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) on guitar and Anthrax’s Charlie Benante on drums.

In recent Disturbed news, the American rockers released their eighth album, Divisive, in November 2022. The album landed at #5 on the ARIA Albums Chart upon release.
