Nile Rodgers & CHIC, The Libertines & More Confirmed For 2021 Playground Festival
The Playground Festival is set to descend on Rouken Glen Park in Glasgow from September 24 – 26th 2021 featuring its most eclectic and diverse line-up to date.
The three-day event will present an array of star acts from across the musical spectrum including Boy George and Culture Club, Kelis, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, The Libertines, James, Razorlight, Glasvegas, Roisin Murphy, Orbital, Hot Chip, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Sister Sledge feat Kathy Sledge, Macy Gray and many more.
Nile Rodgers said: “It’s always Good Times for us with the incredible people of Glasgow. As you can imagine after almost 18 months of being at home we are going to make this special for all of us.”

Also in Nile Rodgers news, the CHIC mainstay was recently unanimously re-elected to a second three-year term as chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame by the group’s board of directors at its annual board meeting. Rodgers was first elected to the post in 2018, when he succeeded Philadelphia soul architects Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff.
