Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Add 2022 European Tour Dates
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced more dates to their 2022 European tour, with the promise of more shows to be added soon. Tickets are available here.
The dates will be a tonic to fans after the band were forced to cancel their 2021 shows, initially intended to support their critically lauded 2019 album, Ghosteen. But since the worldwide pandemic curtailed their live activities, the band have kept busy, with Cave and bandmate Warren Ellis releasing the intimate and raw album, Carnage. Meanwhile, Cave has used his website, The Red Hand Files, to keep in touch with fans, answering their irreverent and profound questions.
Cave and Ellis have also announced an online event in which they will be discussing Carnage on 18 June. Fans are encouraged to submit questions for the musicians to answer on the official Nick Cave Instagram and Facebook channels before midnight BST 5 June.
And in further Cave news, the exhibition devoted to his life’s work, Stranger Than Kindness, will remain open at the Black Diamond, Copenhagen until 7 August 2021. The exhibition brings together large scale installations and original atmospheric soundscapes with more than 300 objects from Cave’s own collection, the Nick Cave archive at Arts Centre Melbourne, the collections of Royal Danish Library and a number of private lenders. Tickets for the exhibition are on sale here.
