Megan Thee Stallion saw in her 26th birthday on 15th February by releasing a new song, Southside Forever Freestyle.

The rapper worked with Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia and Lil Ju on it, with the pair producing the song. In the video for Southside Forever Freestyle, Megan pays homage to her hometown, wearing a Houston Rockets cap and matching bikini in a nod to the Texas basketball team. You can watch the video below:

The song follows on from the release of the official video for Cry Baby, which Megan recorded with rapper DaBaby, which came out last week.

Megan Thee Stallion has also been nicknamed Megan Thee Machine by Pharrell, and it’s not hard to see why. Alongside releasing those two videos, she is sharing YouTube videos of her “Hottie Bootcamp” which she describes as, “not necessarily a weight loss journey but a health journey”. She also released her debut studio album, Good News in November 2020, which debuted at No 2 on the Billboard charts and released her fourth single from the record, Body, the same day. Prior to that she released her nine-track mix Suga earlier in the year, as well as teaming up with Cardi B for the huge single, WAP, and joining Doja Cat on a remix of Ariana Grande’s 34+35, which you can watch below.

Megan, who also records under her alter egos Hot Girl Meg and Tina Snow, the latter of which was inspired by the stage name of rapper Pimp C, Tony Snow. Megan changed all her social handles to Tina Snow, in a nod to her freestyling character, which she namedrops in the new track and which was the name of her second EP, released in 2018. It also seems appropriate, given Texas is currently facing a snowstorm.
