Spread the love

Latitude Festival have announced the first names on the 2022 line-up. Lewis Capaldi, Foals and Snow Patrol are set to headline the festival, with Hurray For The Riff Raff, Maggie Rogers, Little Simz, Manic Street Preachers, Phoebe Bridgers, Groove Armada, Groove Armada and Fontaines DC among the first musical guests also announced. Ticket information is available here.

In a statement, headliners Foals said: “We’re honoured & thrilled to be headlining Latitude this year. It’s especially significant to us as our first ever festival headline set was at Latitude almost ten years ago and we remember the rush of that show like it’s today; it felt like being handed the controls to a jumbo jet at 35k feet… Latitude helped us and many other great UK bands realise their potential. We couldn’t be happier to come back on the Saturday night to remind everyone & ourselves how powerful & euphoric live music can be.”

Among the other musical acts lined up are Modest Mouse, James Arthur, Freya Ridings, Example, Beth Orton, Rina Sawayama, Mark Owen, Mdou Moctar, Billie Marten, Rumer, Caroline Polachek, Mahalia, The Afghan Wigs, Self Esteem, Kae Tempest, Maximo Park, Nilüfer Yanya, A Certain Ratio, Let’s Eat Grandma, Orlano Weeks and Melt Yourself Down.

As ever, Latitude is about more than just the music. The comedy stage will feature much-loved stand-ups Russell Howard, Tim Key, Rosie Jones, David O’Doherty and Alex Horne’s The Horne Section.

Meanwhile, there’s plenty from the worlds of dance, journalism, poetry, podcasts and more. Dance East will return to the Waterfront Stage to present a diverse programme of world-class dance in all its forms and literature fans will be pleased to hear that the Women’s Prize For Fiction returns to Latitude for a sixth year.
