Lana Del Rey has shared some possible release dates for her latest record, Chemtrails Over The Country Club. The singer appeared at surprise signing for her new book of poetry, Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass, in Los Angeles on 2nd October, which she had announced via Instagram Live as the event was being organised.

The signing, which was first come first serve at a Barnes & Noble, saw Del Rey chatting to fans and revealing that her new album, Chemtrails Over The Country Club might be available on either 10 December or 7th January 2021.

In a video posted by a fan, Del Rey can be seen saying to attendees, “Because of the vinyl process being 11 weeks, it could be, like, January 7th.”

She also discussed the possibility of including the song Dealer – a song she has previously hinted might appear on the record, and which has a screamer sound, compared to her usual dream-pop sensibilities.

Lana Del Rey, who rose to fame in 2011 with her debut single, Video Games, and her 2012 album, Born To Die which got to No 1 in the UK charts and No 2 on the US Billboard chart.

Chemtrails Over The Country Club will be Lana Del Rey’s seventh studio album, and it has been produced by Del Rey alongside Jack Antonoff, who produced her previous record, Norman F*****g Rockwell!. Del Rey first revealed that she had been working on a new album on 30th August 2019 – when Norman F*****g Rockwell! was released. And while the album was previously thought to be entitled White Hot Forever and scheduled for a September 2020 release date, it has now been re-titled Chemtrails Over The Country Club. Though the official release date still remains unknown, this latest update may well mean that fans don’t have to wait too much longer to see what Lana Del Rey has been working on.
