Harry Styles Scores UK’s Best Selling Cassette Of 2022 So Far
Harry Styles has the top-selling cassette of the year so far in the UK with his third album, Harry’s House.
Recent years have seen the format – once considered near-obsolete – making a comeback. According to the Official Charts Company, “2021 saw sales of cassettes in the UK rocket by 13% to their highest total since 2003; proving the nation’s increasing appetite for artists’ work in the physical form.”
The Top 40 cassettes of the year so far show that fans of a wide range of genres are embracing the cassette again with classic albums from Iron Maiden and Queen rubbing shoulders with new albums from artists as diverse as Florence & The Machine, Central Cee, Avril Lavigne, Foals, Liam Gallagher and Charli XCX.
