Yoakam’s debut album, Guitar, Cadillacs, Etc, Etc, was released in 1986 and hit No 1 on the US Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. The album produced the hits Honky Tonk Man, It Won’t Hurt and Guitars, Cadillacs. The new reissue is on 140g light blue vinyl.

The star’s second album, Hillbilly Deluxe, was released three years after and also reached the top spot on the US Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. Four tracks were released as singles – Little Ways; Please, Please, Baby; Always Late With Your Kisses; and Little Sister – with each of them becoming Top 10 hits on the Hot Country Singles chart. Hillbilly Deluxe will be reissued on 140g clear vinyl.

Yoakam’s third album, Buenas Noches from a Lonely Room, will also be reissued, on 140g ruby red vinyl. The album contains Yoakam’s first two No 1 Hot Country Singles singles. The first was Streets Of Bakersfield, a duet with country music royalty Buck Owens, who had originally released a version of the song in 1973. The second was an original composition of Yoakam’s titled I Sang Dixie. A third song on the album, I Got You, also an original composition, peaked at No 5.

Yoakam has recorded more than 21 albums and compilations, charted more than 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and sold more than 25 million records. Yoakam has recorded five Billboard No 1 Albums, 12 gold Albums, and 9 platinum Albums, including the triple platinum This Time. Yoakam is also the most frequent musical guest in the history of The Tonight Show.
