Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo are in a three-way battle for the UK’s No 1 single. According to Official Charts Company, less than 1,000 chart units currently separate the trio.

Dua Lipa is currently in the lead as she aims for her fourth chart-topper with Dance The Night (1) from the Barbie soundtrack, but not far behind are last week’s No 1 single What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish (2) and vampire by Olivia Rodrigo (3).

Dance The Night has been steadily rising up the charts since the phenomenal success of Barbie The Movie. Barbie hit the billion dollar box office milestone after just 17 days of release, becoming the fastest Warner Bros release (and eighth in the studio’s 100-year history) to join the $1 billion club.

The news comes in the week that Billie Eilish was revealed as the next guest on Dua Lipa’s At Your Service podcast. Eilish talked about the making of her next album and the different creative processes she’s experimenting with.

“Everything is different about it,” said Eilish. “I’ve been trying to compare recently, just because I’m getting used to doing it in a different way. And trying to be like, ‘It’s OK to do that. I’m OK. I’m still able to do that; I’m capable still.'”

“And, you know, touring for a year-and-a-half,” she continued. “Then coming back to it, and being way older – and not even much older, but again, the jump between 18 and 21 is a big jump.”

The star also reflected on the way her vocals have changed, “The way that I exist in the room is different, my voice has completely changed since then… The voice-changing thing is a trip! It’s all kind of shocking.

“I’ve gotten a little bit more like, ‘OK, it’s just change and I’m figuring that out.’ It’s hard to accept change, it’s hard to get over, ‘But I did this way for so long, and it worked so well!’ Well, you can’t anymore.”
