Dua Lipa and Miley Cyrus will release their collaborative single, Prisoner’, at midnight tonight.

Confirming the upcoming release on their social platforms, both Dua Lipa and Miley Cyrus shared a short video which shows the pair smoking and dancing while eating glacé cherries while the sound of a heartbeat plays behind them.

The song will be released as the second single from Miley Cyrus’ upcoming album, Plastic Hearts. The pair had worked on a song entitled Coldblood, but scrapped it in favour of something different. Dua Lipa is one of many guests on Miley Cyrus’ new album, which will include Billy Idol, Stevie Nicks and Joan Jett.

In an interview in October with the Spanish radio station Cadena 100, Miley described her collaboration with Dua Lipa as, “perfectly a blend of the both of us”.

The teaser video for ‘Prisoner’ can be seen below.

The song, which premiers at midnight, can be watched on Miley Cyrus’ YouTube account. Currently there is a holding image of a love heart wrapped in barbed wire with ‘MC x DL’ written in the middle of it.

Dua Lipa also announced she will be doing an exclusive online performance called ‘Studio 2054’ on 27th November. The virtual event, which will run for an hour, is set to be a night of, ‘music, mayhem, performance, theatre, dance and much more.’

It will see Dua Lipa perform in a massive warehouse location, while she moves through custom built sets including, ‘surreal TV shows, roller discos… and diva style dressing rooms’, while performing songs from her albums, Future Nostalgia and Dua Lipa, as well as Club Future Nostalgia.. She will also be joined by FKA Twigs for the event. Tickets for the event can be purchased from her website, while a snippet of what can be expected can be seen below.
