Dua Lipa And Dave In Battle For UK No 1 Single
Dua Lipa is currently a close second to Dave & Central Cee in a battle for the UK No 1 single, according to the Official Charts Company.

Dua’s Dance The Night, from the soundtrack to the phenomenally successful Barbie movie is currently just 1,000 chart unit’s behind Dave & Central Cee’s Sprinter, which has held the top spot for nine weeks.
Dance The Night would become Dua Lipa’s fourth UK No 1, and first completely solo since New Rules in 2017, if it overtakes Sprinter.
The news comes as Greta Gerwig’s Barbie surpassed $1 billion at the global box office, including $459 million in North America and $572 million internationally. This makes Gerwig the first-ever solo female filmmaker with a billion-dollar film.
Barbie hit the milestone after just 17 days of release, becoming the fastest Warner Bros release (and eighth in the studio’s 100-year history) to join the $1 billion club. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 previously held that record at 19 days.
The film’s success is such that Dance The Night is only one of many chart success stories from its soundtrack, Barbie: The Album. The other entries in the midweek Top 20 from the soundtrack are Billie Eilish’s What I Was Made For (No 3); Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice & Aqua’s Barbie World (No 5); Charli XCX’s Speed Drive (No 11), and Ryan Gosling’s I’m Just Ken (No 14).
