Death Cab For Cutie & The Postal Service To Co-Headline All Points East
Death Cab For Cutie and The Postal Service will joint headline a day at next year’s All Points East festival in London.
The two acts will co-headline on Sunday 25 August at Victoria Park, East London. They join previously announced headline acts Loyle Carner, who plays on 17 August, and LCD Soundsystem, who appear on 23 August. Tickets for the show go on general sale on 12 December via the All Points East website.
A press release from the festival’s organisers stated: “this will be The Postal Service’s first appearance in London for over 10 years, so All Points East next summer will be an incredibly special celebration of two groups who defined an era and are held in the hearts of music fans across the world.”
Death Cab for Cutie will play their classic 2013 album Transatlanticism in full. The band’s line-up will include Benjamin Gibbard, Nick Harmer, Dave Depper, Zac Rae, and Jason McGerr.
Gibbard will also play with The Postal Service, along with Jenny Lewis and Jimmy Tamborello (aka Dntel). The band will play Postal Service’s lone studio album, 2003’s much-loved Give Up, from start to finish.
