The 20-second video was shared on the band’s Instagram account yesterday (June 7), with the caption, “first time”.

Singer Chris Martin previously claimed that the band’s next album would be called Moon Music. It’ll be the follow-up to 2021’s Music of the Spheres. In a January 2023 interview with City News Martin said, “We’re finishing an album called Moon Music, which is the second Music Of The Spheres volume, but that won’t come out for a little bit.”

In November, the band invited fans to get involved with a single called One World. Taking to Instagram, Coldplay wrote that they hope their fans are OK in these “wild times” and shared that Moon Music was “nearly finished”.

“If you’d like to be on it too, perhaps you could add your voice to a song called One World. (We would love that a lot.),” the band wrote. As for how to feature on One World: “All you have to do is record yourself singing ‘Ahhhhh’ for a few seconds at oneworld.coldplay.com. You can either copy the note on the site or sing a G or C in any octave. Thank you so much.

“Love, Chris, Guy, Will and Jonny”.

Coldplay will headline Glastonbury at the end of the month. The band will make their first Pyramid Stage appearance since 2016 on the Saturday night, with the only European festival appearance of their record-breaking current world tour, in the process beating their previous joint headliner record (with The Cure) and becoming the first act to headline Glastonbury five times.
