Anderson .Paak has shared a brand new track called Yours To Take via a new advertisement for Budweiser. Yours To Take is the first piece of new solo material, the rapper, singer, drummer and producer has released since the 2020 single Jewelz.

Recently the singer has devoted his energies to Silk Sonic, the collaborative project with Bruno Mars. Their first album together, An Evening With Silk Sonic, has been a huge success, reaching No 2 in the US Billboard chart and giving the band four US Top 20 hit singles as well as international acclaim. At the 2022 Grammy Awards, Silk Sonic were one of the big winners of the night. They collected four awards for their US No 1 hit single, Leave The Door Open, including including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.

Anderson .Paak has spoken about this motivation in making Yours To Take, “My new music for the campaign isn’t just a song, it’s an anthem! The way I see it, it’s like a rallying cry to those who are DONE listening to all the reasons why their dreams are impossible,” states the singer. “Trust me, I heard all those naysayers too, but I kept myself motivated and did my best to ignore the haters every step of the way.”

Paak continues, “My hope is that Budweiser and I can reach artists, designers, athletes, and creatives – everyone! – all over the world who are ready to take the first step on their own path to greatness.”

The Yours to Take video tells the story of creators overcoming sceptics. French soccer player Séan Garnier, Brazilian rapper Xamã, Swedish fashion designer Julia Dang, and Colombian graffiti artist Wanda Pot appear in the visuals. Argentinian singer Lara91K, Brazilian graphic artist Gabriel Massan, and British drummer Louise Bartle make appearances too.
